Can you imagine how frustrated the anti-Trumpers are? The accuse Trump of horrendous crimes against Political Correctness and not only Trump, but FReepers delight in ridiculing Political Correctness.

Most of these people who sound racist are really just trying to be Politically Incorrect. Why did someone wear a jacket that said “I

This drives crazy the arrogant people who think they should be in control. In short, we are responsible for the mental illness of others. :)

My youngest son turned 18 just before the election, and was supporting Carson until he dropped out. Suddenly, my son turned around and voted for The Beast! I couldn’t believe it!

He went to college last fall and I dreaded that he would come home in an even worse condition. Surprisingly, by winter break he had actually returned to Conservatism! He said watching all the idiot libs at school made him realize how insane they were. He said that the kids in his engineering and finance classes were all conservatives. That was definitely good news!

So don’t lose hope.

We homeschooled. Grown kids that are solid conservatives. Only way to be sure is to be with the kids more than the teachers are, and that made it an easy choice but it was a lot of extra effort. All worth it.

For those that commented that they cannot or will not engage liberals close to them (relatives etc.).....

IMO - they win if we don’t engage them in conversation. To keep the conversation the least volatile, simply ask “What is your solutuon to the problem?” 9 out of 10 times, they cannot answer that question. If they can answer, have them explain their solutuon in great detail. And then breakdown the pros and cons.

Once they realize their only position is hate, not policy, they might see the evil in that and make sounder choices.

Don’t give up on borderline rational people, they were easily swayed by maniacs and they can be swayed back to reason.

An example from lately, my mother (socialist) commented on my fb post about Republicans backing civil rights etc. without Dem support. She went to great lengths to pick it apart after stating it was mostly true but many details were left out. She closed by saying Trump is Hitler. The irony is that she went to great lengths to spout ‘truths and facts’ etc. not included in my post and closed with rhetoric based on emotion. Hyocritical, facts matter in my posting, but not hers. I’ve tried reasoning with her but a self proclaimed socialist cannot be dealt with.

When this story about Red Hen first hit, I started checking the reviews on Google. They were getting slammed with hundreds of negative reviews. I’ve been gone all day but just got home and rechecked the reviews. The bad ones have all been deleted and it wouldn’t let me leave a review. Very dishonest.

Yes, we homeschooled our youngest, and I think it did make a difference (see post 43).

We have two older children who were not homeschooled, and the oldest is moderate/left and the middle is basically pro-communism. It hurts to say that.

I call them radicalized dims, because they are rapidly approaching the dangerous level that radicalized Muslims reach. Universities and the media are radicalizing them; dim and RINO politicians are openly supporting them.

They know they are losing, that is why they are becoming so unhinged. Stay safe out there.

People all over FR defend using Facebook. I think anyone who uses it deserves whatever happens.

Idiots.

I feel the second thing-sullenness, if that’s the correct characterization, as we descend into second-class status-but I’m not pessimistic on the whole because my Christian beliefs inform my politics, as they do every aspect of my life. I’m pessimistic short-term, ie, through to the end of history-but not on the eternal scale.

You are right, it is not about the issue- they have a new issue as soon as they get their talking points.

They don’t care about any of these issues, they don’t even care enough to begin to educate themselves because they know the issue will rapidly change. It is all about agenda.

Do a work-around. Monday contact the Main Street organization 540-319-4181 to let them know bigotry is not acceptable.

The entire business community in Lexington needs to be forced to make a choice between hate and civility. With enough comment, some of them will do the right thing.

I don’t know. They have strongholds-cities-in every southern state. North Carolina was helping to lead the way-the left’s way-on the men in girls’ bathrooms issue. Texas has multiple major cities given over to the left now. My own little cowtown state, MS, has given our capitol city, Jackson, over to them.

I’ve felt that way for years, due to a related issue. I never forgot Jesse Jackson, years ago, bragging about how he smiled in the white folks’ faces when he served them, knowing he’d spit in their food. He probably did worse and never admitted it. You can’t trust the people who smile, you already know not to trust the ones who plainly show or tell you. So that leaves me eating at home or with friends.

And the parents help to pay for the college indoctrination which teaches them to do these things, to boot.

Just tell him that Chuck Todd, George Stephanopoulus and the other faces of his favorite #FakeNews outlets get paid $7500 an hour for a reason.

And it ain't because they've got "good hair"...
