My father picked cotton. My mother-in-law picked cotton. They were both white. I’m getting sick to death of bowing down to idiots.

Reminds me of the Roy Clark song: "I Never Picked Cotton".

It was from the perspective a poor WHITE guy who came from a family that picked cotton.

The singer wanted more excitement out of life than just picking cotton, "in that Oklahoma sun".
