I have seen this article on the Russian Economist on his theory of the the US breaking up. I seem to think I had seen a much different map than the one you had.
Such a breakup I think would fall along the Blue State/Red State lines. I think the south would have a coalition of the old Southern states and a few more. The Midwest would organize, California would go alone, the southwest would align, and along that lines.
I have read this guys article several times and I think it is plausible but not the map he proposes. He doesn’t know much about the cultural divide and other things that would come into play in a breakup.
I’m inclined to believe that if it were to happen, all the “Red” states would unify. California and the coastal areas of Washington and Oregon would have to unify otherwise they’re done. But, SoCal and a substantial part of California is considered Red, as well. And those are the places where the military bases are, manufacturing, farming, energy, and guns are. The Northeast, down to DC would eat itself in a month. Biggest problem will be slowing the migration from those places. Lots of Conservatives in NY and on Long Island, it’s just that the cities, like a lot of states, dictate the politics. Do folks wishing to enter the new country of Middle America need to prove their Conservative bona fides, somehow?
Sooner, rather than later, in places like this district and Mexifornia. It is time whitey Democrats realize they will be the new Jews in progressive America.
This is good news. Last Presidential election I met several ex-Democrats that switched to Republican because they felt disenfranchised by the NeoSocialist direction their party had taken. More of these folks will follow as the pace quickens.
Some might suggest going from the pan to the fire is a good move. I disagree because making a deal with the devil always has a bad outcome. Putting an open supporter of a tyrannical form of government that has murdered millions of people is never a good thing. There are worse things then the establishment.

I am seeing more and more about the “Walk Away” movement, Democrats walking away from the party because they no longer feel it represents them in any way.
Anyone else following this? They put out a video just a few days ago and have gained a lot of followers on FB.
