Fox says POTUS wants to put the lead candidates out there for people to mull over and to see what happens. Going to Democratic sources it looks to me like they are holding their counsel hoping for a mistake to be made that they can jump all over.

I think Coulter is right, what do you all think? I kept looking around for judges and every time I found one to get really excited about I found out that they were in the 70's. I think experience is important in this job but POTUS wants someone young enough to stick around for a while and have an impact. Also the younger ones are easier to get through because that is where we are...

Judge Kethledge rigorously enforces all laws as they are written, including the immigration laws. He knows that faithfully applying the Immigration and Nationality Act means respecting Congress's decision to give federal courts only a limited role in the immigration process.

In Khalil v. Holder, Kethledge upheld a finding that the petitioner was not entitled to asylum because he was not a credible witness. Kethledge pointed out multiple inconsistencies in the petitioner's story that undermined his asylum claim.

In Japarkulova v. Holder, Kethledge recognized—over a dissent from a liberal judge—that courts must defer to the executive branch's determination that an immigrant is not eligible for asylum. Even though the petitioner had a compelling life story, Kethledge upheld the law.

In Mora v. Holder, the petitioner entered the US legally at age 14 but then overstayed his visa. Kethledge noted that if the petitioner had been a citizen, “we would call him a model one.” But Judge Kethledge recognized that the courts lacked authority to grant him relief.

In his more than 10 years on the bench, Judge Kethledge has encountered hundreds of immigration cases. He shows no favoritism to immigrants--or to the government, for that matter--and instead focuses only on applying the laws passed by Congress as they are written. Kethledge paid his own way through law school after working as a waiter and (new) car salesman. He delivered pizzas for Dominos and did landscaping during college. And he’s spent the last 3+ decades in Michigan. He would bring some much needed perspective from middle America.

Her opinion is irrelevant. Just Ann pimping.

Is Tom Tancredo still around? He should be heard.

Mr. Tancredo used to be quite the stalwart on the illegal invasion until Porky Pig pulled the rug out from under him. His input on this issue would be invaluable I would think (not to take anything away from Ann).

Frankly, Mr. Tancredo should have been President Trump’s first pick to advise him on all things border related.

I have found if Coulter is pushing for something or someone there’s good reason to avoid it/them.

She’s unreliable, unprincipled and often shrill.

Kavanaugh may be fine, but a lot of the people pushing for him are part of the D.C. entrenched state. Karl Rove wants him. Rove is too dense to realize his endorsement does Kavanaugh more harm than good.

My choice is Kethledge, followed by Thapur and Barnett. And no, Kethledge isn’t, as Coulter claims, an open border zealot. She needs to read his opinions, she’s smart enough but seems to prefer muddying the waters.

Get rid of the age requirement. 10-15 years on the court is plenty and it would be much easier to find judges with a solid RECORD on many more issues. The. Mark Levin is in play (he won’t turn). I hope Trump at least consults him. I think he’d more than likely be on the right side in saying who to look at

What is wrong with this woman? Is there anything President Trump has done that she’s pleased with?

I’m listening to Jay Sekulow Live now, and they’re talking about this very subject.

Jay said that every one of these potential nominees that’s on the President’s current list are strong constitutionalists and that any one of them would make a great Supreme Court justice.

Any judge Anne Coulter approves of is fine by me. She has been criticizing mushy and bad Republican appointees to the Supreme Court for years.

Coulter knows which appointees will be solid 10-20 30 years from now and which will flake out like John Roberts ...who has been OK recently. Maybe he only flakes out under Democrat presidents.

Kavanaugh? Isn't he the one everyone says in unreliable?

Then again, of the "three" on the short list that I've heard about (I've also heard five or seven), two are associated with Kennedy and one with Scalia. I'd say, without knowing anything else, I'd lean toward the Scalia justice before delving deeper into it.

Anne Coulter was one of the few people anywhere to raise the caution flag concerning David Souter, and later the same for John Roberts. Her opinion should be carefully considered here.

I am 100% against open borders but, unlike Ann, don’t treat every other issue as irrelevant.

Kavanaugh is bad on abortion.

That disqualifies him.

Do we think Ann is on the money or full of it? She didn’t like Roberts.
