Jordan was more nervous than I’ve ever seen him. He finally did say the allegations were false but earlier he said they were not accurate. I’m not drawing any conclusions from that, just reporting what I saw and heard. I’ve long admired his toughness and persistence.

What Jordan knew was there is always some queer in every large group. In today’s world, for every 98 normal men there are one or two queers. Years ago, there was a lower incidence.
