Six former Ohio State coaches defend Jordan

Six former Ohio State University wrestling coaches on Monday issued statements defending Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), who is being accused of failing to protect his former wrestlers from sexual abuse by a team doctor while working as a coach there.

“What has been said about Jim Jordan is absolutely wrong,” the half-dozen coaches said in a joint statement. “We all worked on the wrestling coaching staff during Jim’s tenure at The Ohio State University. None of us saw or heard of abuse of OSU wrestlers. The well-being of student-athletes was all of our concern. If we had heard of any abuse, we would have spoken up.”

The former coaches who issued the statement are: Russ Hellickson, former head coach; Dave Ruckman, former assistant coach; Rex Holman, former assistant coach; Ken Chertow, former assistant coach; Myron Kharchilava, former assistant coach; and Kenny Ramsey Jr., former assistant coach.

At least seven former wrestlers have come forward and accused Jordan of turning a blind eye toward the inappropriate touching and sexual abuse of student athletes committed by team doctor Richard Strauss, who died in 2005.

Jordan has denied knowing about any abuse of his athletes and said he would have acted had he been told.

Good for them. Now, how do you suppose the MSM will skew this for tonight’s news? Or will it just go away, never to be brought up again?

I think it’s a hatchet job but it will probably work. I doubt the GOP will want to involve itself in this controversy.

Jordan's only 'crime' was/is getting 99% close to the truth of these liars....Jim Jordon is a patriot and true American...which his accusers are not.

Go get 'em James!

What everyone fails to mention is that Jordan was a 22 year old grad student at the time, the same age as his accusers.

Hope they send a copy of their statement to Rotten Ryan and his back stabbing pals.

FYI - Paul “Rotten” Ryan went to Miami of Ohio, Class of 1992. He has a lot of contacts in the State. He could have made some phone calls and put an end to this witch hunt if he really wanted to.

Easy.

They'll accuse these coaches of participating in a cover-up to protect each other.

The MSM will say we need to believe the accusers and not the deniers.

The establishment does not want Jim Jordan as Speaker. They want a squish such as Ryan. That makes me want Jordan as speaker even more.

It’s hard to avoid getting graphic in describing the alleged abuse. It’s hard because the alleged abuse involved legitimate examination of intimate parts of the body.

So what was legitimate and what was abuse or sex assault?

Why no mention of this for decades?

Were any charges ever brought?

Isn’t it convenient that the doctor involved is dead?

This is very different from the issues of the girls gymnastics doctor, because in the case of the girls he had no legitimate reason to be examining intimate parts of their bodies. But in the case of wrestlers, there was a legitimate reason for such exams.

I guess RATS are Wrestlers too! Never let a good “rump wrangling” contest go to waste.

[[The MSM will say we need to believe the accusers and not the deniers.]]

Which is the complete opposite of what they said when clinton was accused of personal sexual assaults- They claimed the victims were lying and not to be believed-

See how their narrative changes to support their sick liberal agenda?

The ‘always believe the accusers’ went up in smoke (so to speak) when the women who accused Clinton, back in the 90’s, were DESTROYED by Hillary and her minions. They have tried again with the MeToo ‘movement’ but that has now fizzled. Hope Jordan can leave this fake story behind and get back to doing the work he was elected to do, for the American patriots.
