President Donald Trump has arrived at Blenheim Palace in grand style ahead of a gala dinner with US and UK business leaders.
He was pictured arriving in Marine One in a tuxedo with First Lady Melania, who is wearing a floor-length, pleated buttercup yellow gown.
Awkwardly grabbing Theresa May hand - in a replay of their White House meeting last year - Trump was treated to a fanfare welcome by the Scots, Irish and Welsh Guards bands.
The president was also given a performance of Amazing Grace featuring a bagpipe solo.
The magnificent English country house, which was built in the early 18th century, was the ancestral seat of Sir Winston Churchill, who was born there in 1874.
President Trump arrived at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is in Oxfordshire, in his helicopter at about 7.50pm tonight before being greeted by Theresa May.
He is expected to be given a tour of Blenheim's grounds by the 12th Duke of Marlborough, Jamie Blandford - also known as Jamie Spencer-Churchill.

Some of us are of the opinion that the two of them seem so much happier and in love since her hospitalization. Like a couple of newlyweds. Very cute. I agree. I thought she looked relaxed and happy again at the event for the 4th of July. It's like a weight had been lifted from her.
And I'm so enjoying watching our first couple grow more comfortable in their roles and closer to each other.
I'm guessing these two kids will be closer for the Presidency --- in spite of what the naysayers tell us. :)

You never know! You probably remember Betsy McCall? McCall's magazine?
Grandma got that mag and would save the Betsy Paper Doll pages for me.

The drape of Melania's gown is similar to a perfectly cut and groomed Westminster Dog Show Winner! It's all in the optics, Baby! (I'm certain she KNOWS this; next time we meet for lunch, I'll ask her, LOL!)

Melania looked like royalty in the evening and earlier in the day, when landing in London, she looked like a movie star. :) POTUS looked might good today, too!

Melania looks the same height as her husband.
But considering she's 15'11" and the President is 6'3", she only needs four-inch heels to get to his height.

Obviously a typo! She's 5'11"
But she would be just as impressive at 15 feet, I might say.

She is not a delicate woman. And Barron at age twelve is already as tall as she is.
Am wondering if she’s a little unstable on her feet after the surgery and that’s why we see them holding hands more often. Four hours of surgery is not a procedure in my book. Something major was going on. Pray for her good health.

I thought the same, exact thing....about the careful planning of Melania’s dress color.
She ILLUMINATES the picturesque setting.

Reminding of Maid Marian here...
DH complains he sees her smile so little; made it a point to be certain he’ll see these images; especially the one in post #2.
That ‘awkward’ remark made only shows how unsure these MFM types are of this VSG. Never having met one before now, they haven’t a clue as to how to respond or record any events in which he participates. Kindergarten children have the same apprehension.

However, this one (sow/pig) did mange to apply the required lipstick...heavily. She seems to have food (a la Pelosi) or a cavity upper left side. Not an attractive look for the PM May.

Gotta give her credit. She is amazing. Look at all she must endure from those across the fence.
How fortunate we are!

I agree that her surgery was totally downplayed. If I were PDJT I’d be holding her hand at EVERY opportunity.
She is a treasure and such a GREAT representative of women in America - of any stripe. :)

My sister and I had all the Betsy McCalls. So much fun. A simpler time - excited by paper dolls.

15 tall! She is a striking woman and that yellow gown was radical. Beautiful.
