I would think anything short of .357 rounds would lose all effectiveness going through the windshield like that - especially when trying to pierce through a second window on the other vehicle.
The gun looked like it was a Glock. Show me a .357 that holds 15 rounds. I have a Sig P229 chambered for .357 Sig, but it only holds 12 because the round is essentially a necked down .40 S&W case.
I don’t think shooting through the windshield did much good.

I would rather saved those rounds for the time I had a clearer shot at the suspects.
