Rep. Steve Cohen regrets Purple Heart remarks, vets call them ‘insult to every service member'

Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) this week repeatedly defended his tweet that implied that America needed to have a military coup to remove President Donald Trump after his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump held a summit with Putin on Monday, in which the 45th president declined to directly chastise Putin for allegedly trying to influence the 2016 presidential election, even when asked by an Associated Press (AP) reporter to do so. President Trump blamed the Russia investigation for some of the friction between the two countries.
In response to the summit, Rep. Cohen tweeted on Monday, “Where are our military folks? The Commander in Chief is in the hands of our enemy!”
Congressman Cohen then proceeded to tweet several times suggesting that he never implied that the military needs to intervene in light of the Trump-Putin summit.

Cohen sure as hell did ask for the presence of the military, stating the Commander in Chief (the position) is in the hands of the enemy.

Could he be charged criminally? If so, why hasn’t this happened. And why isn’t Trump making an issue of this?

Remember this is the guy that believes that Strozk deserves a purple heart for his actions as an FBI agent. By the way, I thought purple hearts go to guys that are wounded.

Why hasn’t he been charged? It’s easier to muddy the water with this than to take legal action.
