No. As far as I know that's all done in Virginia at Newport News. Virginia isn't in the top five "getters". So what's equivalent work done in South Carolina which is the biggest receiver compared to taxes sent to DC? Or Alabama or Nebraska or Louisiana that's equivalent? By the way, Hawaii is sixth in the list of "getters" and they have a navy base. So okay, I guess that accounts for a lot of it but they also get a ton ... TON ... of pork for other stuff like ocean studies and native Hawaiian culture stuff and the like. So much so that a lot of government contractors use figure head native Hawaiians to lead their companies, on paper, so they get the massive earmarks for native hawaiian run firms. Same in Alaska.
But as I said, whenever I've made this point lots of people will come and say its not pork, their state needs it, whatever. All the pork is always somewhere else and all that extra infusion of FedGov cash is going to national defense.
