Do we still have the recipe for the crackers in the Civil Defense Fall Out shelter rations? Back in the 70’s, we had some cans of them reach their expiration date in the shelter in the building where I worked. I liberated a couple of cans, and ate them for lunch, with peanut butter and jelly, for some weeks. Very tasty, and designed to be nutritionally complete. Whip up a few batches, assemble as many cans as needed (one can contained the biscuits, vitamin enriched ‘candy’, canned water and flavored drink mixes, also vitamin enriched), and if any of these detained ILLEGAL aliens complains about the standard prison fare, issue him the fall out shelter rations instead.

The people in this prison are being coached with the questions they are being asked, or the “reporters” are asking only certain ones. Something tells me that most are really just damn glad they’re getting a MEAL at all.
