I was on Islesboro the first time when I was about 12 in 1945—land was $4 an acre then!!! Probably can’t even get a cup of coffee for that now.

Best blueberry pie I ever ate was at a little luncheonette in Camden, Main on the water side of the street. That was only about 34 years ago! Closely followed by one in Sommesville on Mt. Desert Island where a teenager had a table set up with pies baked by her grandmother. It was my birthday pie. Can’t beat those Maine blueberries!

Now I rely on Wegman’s—can’t beat it.

I've never heard of Wegman's..looks like they're located in New York? When I was in New York last December we ate at Junior's and had really good cheesecake there. I think the restaurant was on 45th street.
