imo that is what happened here with Alex Jones and certain voices on the right that are starting to be slowly kicked off of social media don’t put it past some left-wing loons in the government and politicians asking for some favors from their big Tech left-wing buddies. So government censorship by proxy.

Exactly. Many people haven't studied the Nazi system regarding relationships between government and business.
Large corporations were permitted to keep owning their companies, but they were required to do whatever the STATE ordered them to do. They developed close and cozy relationships with their government controllers, and the influence system worked in both directions.
What we are seeing being implemented here in the USA is the Nazi system of Government/Business relations.
