While never going to Turkey, the Turks I meet here reflect your observations.
Terrible people. Going on about their stinking gold and how much better turkey is, all the while telling stories of the corruption, crime and why their families left.

I was stationed in Turkey for awhile in the early 1970s. I agree with your conclusion.
As would my son, who had the displeasure of serving close to the Turkish border in an armpit named “Shank”. Two guesses where the bad guys came from. You won’t need the second guess.
Time to reclaim Constantinople.
I wonder if this includes all the electronic spare parts for the Turkish military. Erdogan hasn’t learned his lesson yet, so we should slap a tax on those items as well.
