Learn how to bunt!!! If hitters would drop a bunt down practically anywhere on the left side of the infield they would be standing on first bast. Otherwise, keep trying to pull the ball, the defense will put 7 guys on the right side. Enough bunt base hits, the defense will "shift" back.
I swear, if I was in the MLB & they constantly put a shift on me, I would spend the whole off season working on my bunting.

Texas Rangers fan here: When Joey Gallo hits the defense sometimes puts in a shift so drastic the left fielder is the only player to the left of center field. Last time the third basemen was literally behind second base in the outfield! Six guys in right field and Joey Gallo at the plate swinging for the fence like it was a home run derby. It was embarrassing! He could have just bunted anywhere toward the third base side and trotted down to first.
I have seen the shift put on Matt Carpenter of the Cards a LOT this season. As a result of that, he actually has several lead-off bunt hits. First pitch of the game.
