This has happened before: there is one hold-out for acquittal because of reasonable doubt.
Those wanting to convict ask judge for definition of reasonable doubt.
The judge told them that reasonable doubt did not mean “all possible doubt” but was “doubt based on reason.”
Jurors who want a conviction will use this to bully the one hold-out, saying he/she is not using common sense.

I will speculate there is more than 1 hold out. Giving Gate the plea deal on his admitted crimes would be enough to create reasonable doubt for me. Mueller nullified his on case with Gates.
