I am sitting here teaching my 12 year old son the working parts of a SIG 226. 9mm - 12+1 - Semi auto.

We will head to the range when he is able to pass my ‘pre fire’ test on this firearm..... It is not a easy test to pass. (Think boot camp weapon knowledge, awareness, assembly and cleaning.)

When he is ready and knows the 226, over the next month he will send 1,000 rounds down range.

If he is a good with the 226 as he is already with the his 223 Ruger American (2 inch groups at 200 yards).....he will shoot 3 inch groups at 50 meters by the end of the year.

...or I guess he could be a cheerleader.
