Feinstein: FBI Should Investigate Kavanaugh Allegation Before Senate Moves Forward on Confirmation
Mediaite ^ | 9.16.2018 | Josh Feldman

Feinstein has a new statement out this afternoon saying the Senate should not take action on confirming Kavanaugh until the FBI investigates:

It has always been Mrs. Ford’s decision whether to come forward publicly. For any woman, sharing an experience involving sexual assault––particularly when it involves a politically connected man with influence, authority and power––is extraordinarily difficult.

From the outset, I have believed these allegations were extremely serious and bear heavily on Judge Kavanaugh’s character. However, as we have seen over the past few days, they also come at a price for the victim. I hope the attacks and shaming of her will stop and this will be treated with the seriousness it deserves.

I support Mrs. Ford’s decision to share her story, and now that she has, it is in the hands of the FBI to conduct an investigation. This should happen before the Senate moves forward on this nominee.

Christine Blasey Ford has come forward for one reason and one reason only, without that, nobody would listen. Diane Feinstein has just revealed the whole reason for introducing this letter. It is to interfere with the confirmation hearing, no other reason.

guilt cannot be totally sublimated. That’s what you see on the clintons and on Obama when he has that hard look trying to be tough

Doug Jones was a STATE ELECTION running against an opponent who was already polarizing and energized the liberals against him. This is an appointment to the Supreme Court. Try to keep up.

The FBI is going to investigate if a drunk minor groped another drunk minor 35 years ago? The whole concept is laughable.

“The “FBI” are the last people I want investigating any of my fellow Americans. Stuff if Swinestain. You want the “FBI” to investigate somebody, request they investigate you.“

I’d trust the reporters at RT more. Seriously.

Hi.

You are correct, the FBI doesn’t have jurisdiction.

All smoke and mirrors.

How exactly does one defend against 35 year old smears?
Tell us. We would all like to know.

If DiFi really wantedn the FBI to investigate Sheffield have released them earlier. If these are found to be a false accusation then DiFi and the professor need to resign. Plus Kavanaugh should sue them both for defamation of character. But as a Supreme Court Justice they would claim it’s unfair.

Put her under oath. Repressed memory is sometimes mislabeled - it is actually induced memory. My antenna are pinging wildly until this clinical psychologist in Palo Alto that suppressed it for 20 years before telling her psychotherapist, has been under oath and strenuously examined.

I have my doubts.

Another interesting possibility - Apparently the 2012 therapists notes came from “couples therapy”. Perhaps she was inventing/embellishing a story to justify her actions towards her husband?

FYI She is an academic psychologist specializing in research.

I found no CA license under either name.

You can retrieve her publications under Christine Blasey on Google Scholar, but I found no 1st Author citations, making it hard to be certain of her research interests.

Would you forget which house you were attacked in, if the attack “derailed” you “for four years.”

Did she grind back?

Why did she allow herself to be cut from the pack?

Has she ever had an abortion that she wants to publically celebrate?

As of now there's nothing to defend. This is clearly a "Fail Mary" as desperate Democrats try for one last chance to scuttle Kavanaugh's place on the Supreme Court, which is for them, a catastrophe.

Roy Moore's campaign fell apart when many people, including some of Moore's own supporters, started thinking there might be some element of truth behind the allegations. As of now, this isn't the case with Kavanaugh and I'm not expecting any "surprises" will surface to make people think otherwise. Unless some significant evidence surfaces, Kavanaugh will become the next Associate Justice of the Supreme Court.
