And for which candidate/party did these criminals vote?

Can't possibly know who they voted for. Recall Bomber..., or was it B-1 …, I'm thinking Bob, can't remember his name. Illegal votes were determined to have been cast exceeding the narrow margin he lost by. But not knowing who they voted for there is no solution other than a new election.

I renewed my drivers license a couple weeks ago, Illinois. First question, are you registered to vote. If not, they'd do it. At the end of my contact with a nice attendant, paperwork, eye exam and such, he asked again, are you registered to vote. Yes, I am. I only wanted to register once. But no documentation was necessary.

With my renewal, I had a veteran designation added to my license, handy for discounts. Like illegal voting, it's a crime to falsely claim to be a veteran. Did they take my word for it without documentation, well, no. Did my dd214 suffice, well not exactly. I had to send it to the state Veteran Affairs department, where they look it over, stamp and sign it, and return it to me. And the drivers license folk keep the certified copy.

Is that a big deal, no, but what's more important, verifying citizenship to vote, or verifying veteran status? And what are the political ramifications? In Illinois, if you want to vote you get to vote.
