Its kind of sad. Youre the first responder and you missed Denniss point completely. A lot of FReepers are missing this crucial, civilization-killing point. I was trying to make this point here yesterday, and Dennis was trying on his show this morning.
IGNORE THE CHARGES. IGNORE THE ACCUSATION.
No matter who it is. No matter who makes it. No one should be judged for fitness for higher office on misdeeds from childhood (under 18). At all. Ever. Unless they were egregious crimes with enough evidence, like child rape or murder. Or unless they were part of a lifelong pattern continuing into adulthood (Bill Clinton. Does come to mind).
Dennis is trying to help you all see that one of the worst things about this accusation is that CONGRESS IS TAKING IT SERIOUSLY AND WILL HEAR BOTH SIDES OF THIS HIGH SCHOOL INCIDENT. On its face such an accusation should cause ridicule to anyone making it. It shouldnt stop any candidate for anything from his election or appointment. It warrants NO INVESTIGATION.
Kids make all kinds of mistakes. Past puberty, they do make sexual mistakes. The whole issue is a non-sequitur to the confirmation process or an appointment.
“IGNORE THE CHARGES. IGNORE THE ACCUSATION.”
Exactly. That’s why I’m extremely pissed at Hannity for his ‘let her testify’ bs. Nothing can come from this 40 year accusation except smearing a man’s reputation.
No truth will be exposed. ‘He said’ ‘She said’ and the fakestream media will only report the ‘She said’ side.
The repubikans are aholes. They want to torpedo this nomination. They want to lose the upcoming elections.
My prayer is that voters eyes will be open to see their manipulators and they will be so mad as to vote the creeps outdo office, and forsake psyops-news.
I listened to about half an hour of a Ted Cruz telephone Town Hall meeting last night. One of the callers started to ask a question about this. You could tell the gist of his question was along the lines of "why do we Republicans keep putting up with this fake crap?", when his phone cut him off. If he hadn't rambled so much he probably could have gotten the question in. Cruz's response was that the charges were serious and that we need to hear her testimony to get to the truth. I was quite disappointed to hear that. Ted should have said exactly what Dennis said in this column.
