Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, on Tuesday canceled a crucial committee meeting where members were expected to hold a vote to advance Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court nomination.
The announcement is a win for the committee's 10 Democrats, who called for a delay in Kavanaugh's proceedings following a bombshell allegation from Christine Blasey Ford made public over the weekend.
Ford, 51, accused President Donald Trump's second high court nominee of sexual assault in the 1980s when they were teenagers, a charge Kavanaugh denies.

This is so unfair to a man who has 200 women who submitted letters backing him.
They’re having the hearing with little Miss Pussy Hat on Monday. The problem of reporting this as “win” or “lose” ignores the fact that Kavanaugh called for the hearing and is looking forward to testifying while Little Miss Pussy Hat is threatening to skip it without “conditions.” This is a win for Kavanaugh in that he looks magnanimous and ready to go while the dems continue to play the delay game.

Lindsey Graham said on Fox a few minutes ago that they’d be voting next Wednesday after the Ford-Kavanaugh meeting whether she shows up or not.....
