Do clinical psychologists have a professional standard of ethics?
They do, but there are plenty of them who ignore them. Especially the ones who get on tv and insist that President Trump is mentally deranged. No ethical psychologist would ever do that, even if he had examined him, but ESPECIALLY if he hadn’t. I know we FReepers have “diagnosed” Obama, Hillary, Brennan, et al, but since we’re not professional psychologists, it’s just our opinions, and we’re entitled to them. An actual psychologist does not have that right, unless he has a doctor/patient relationship with the person, and even then, patient confidentiality prevents him from telling anyone about it.
