Ricki Seidman, a longtime Democratic operative, has joined the team — potentially to assist Ford to “navigate a potential hearing”:

Some of the questions at the hearing should be about the people she has retained and how much they are being paid. My guess is it is either $0 or $1. These folks are in it for the publicity and the value it will have to their image with later paying clients.
A lot of the questions should be about the process of coming forward and who was involved. Who? When? Communication by what methods? Was money exchanged? etc.
I would love to see Ted Cruz do it, but he is in a tough race. Find someone not up for reelection this year.

actually the latest is that if the committee doesn’t hear from her tomorrow (Friday) at 10:00 EST that she will indeed attend a hearing this Monday, then it’s all over, and the voting will move forward ... in other words: Pubs not allowing any more delays ...
