Many of us wondered what the usually reliable Ed Whelan had up his sleeve the last few days, as he hinted that information would emerge that would force Dianne Feinstein to apologize to Brett Kavanaugh. Last night, as John reported, Whelan finally delivered — with a speculative and unsubstantiated theory of mistaken identity. More shockingly, Whelan named the person who might have conducted an assault on Christine Blasey Ford, without any evidence or corroboration.
After reading it myself, I thought: Ed must have something more than this, right? As it turns out … nope. This morning, Whelan deleted the tweets and issued an abject apology:

Good point. Selective repressed memory of an alleged sexual incident, in some year, some house, some location, with one or four high school males, maybe wearing swim suits, maybe spring or summer. Fear of outing herself might be the reason for extended time and unrealistic demands by a liar who does not want to face the man she is falsely accusing of inappropriate sexual actions.

Now, years later a woman accuses a nominee to the USSC without any evidence other than her accusation. She has no eye witnesses. No proof has been proffered.
Now the democrats are screeching that Brett Kavanaugh is guilty with evidence based on an unsubstantiated accusation. They declare he is not fit to be seated on the USSC. There was no accusation of rape or sex of any type, yet the left wants BK’s head on a pike.
Any person that can't see the hypocrisy here has got to be as blind as a bat. Even the SJWs know it but I don't expect to see them admit it.
Since when did the burden of proof fall on the accused? Until I see some solid proof beyond a reasonable doubt, I consider Brett Kavanaugh innocent of the accusation. JMHO
Whelan had a really good reputation as a solid sensible guy. So people thought there was something more than libelous wild speculation. unfortunately not.

Blasey Ford's accusation is from "repressed memory recovery" during counseling . It's psycho-babel and has been refuted as science years ago.

I agree and one must admit their resemblance is remarkable, even in current photos. I think Whelan strengthened Kavanaugh’s defense since everybody is dealing with hypotheticals anyway. The more the merrier. Now let’s hear about the PGA.

She went on record denying it was Garrett. Locked down her denial.
Guess we’ll see next week if this is relevant.
Such girls used to be called “party favors” and I’l say she not only knew why she was there but enjoyed it. To now try and make political hay out of behavior she herself likely encouraged herself is contemptible. She is a liar and propagandist attempting to derail the career of a man simply due to opposing his politics, nothing more, nothing less.
