She's got other reasons not to want to testify.
First, it is entirely possible she will be asked questions about her own sexual history/background that she may not want to answer.
Second, she may be worried about other questions she may be asked for which she doesn't have a good answer. "Why did you scrub your social media presence"? "Is it true you wore a pink pussy hat?"
Third -- and I think this may be the big one -- she and her allies may decide they have more to gain from her not appearing at the hearing because it was "biased, unfair, and sexist to the core", rather than appearing, perhaps not doing well, and having Kavanaugh confirmed anyway.
Better to be a martyr than fall on your face in front of the whole country.

are there any democrats on the committee who will be questioning her? if so, don’t you think they are going to scream and holler about any question asked by the repubs which might reveal anything about her past or motive for coming forward now, and would scream that repubs are just a bunch of misogynists attacking an innocent woman traumatized by this vile man named Brett?
the dems on the panel are going to run interference for her, and holler that any question that might reveal the true circumstances of what she thought happened was beyond the pale for gentlemanly behaviour.
