The “rest of the story” here is one of a classy place with a clever and resourceful staff. Ted and Heidi Cruz were protected, they got supper, and the thugs were quickly dispersed. I hope to be dining at Fiola sometime in the next year.
‘Ted and Heidi Cruz were protected, they got supper, and the thugs were quickly dispersed.’
you’re joking, right...? Ted and Heidi Cruz were ‘protected’ by shooing them out of the door, upon which the thugs got exactly what they wanted and triumphantly left (they ‘dispersed’ on their own)...and they got supper later in a secluded area; hopefully they weren’t charged a dime for their inconvenience...
Exactly, I had my doubts when I first heard the story, but it looks as if the restaurant handled this the best way they could. Without security on site (how much security could they really have in any case for something crazy like this?), all they could do was try to protect their customers, the Cruz’s) while they got the thugs out of the restaurant.
