This has the up to second account of what's going on.

I'm sure, though, that you didn't post that to imply anything like that may have happened with Kavanaugh.
That’s awful!
My rule at any party I was dubious about at all was to only drink from factory sealed containers. And I’m a guy (hopefully obviously, then and now!)
Not that I actually went to all that many parties w/ alcohol present. (Too much studies, then, later, too much work and “better” interests.)
Agree the 2 hour rule clearly applies to today's hearing. My earlier post was unclear.
As stated in my #566: Meant to say the rule doesnt appear to give any advantage to Feinstein re the circumstances of todays vote.
Have a nice weekend.
No problemo / we are agreed on that. :-)
Trump has lots of golfing buddies and there have been rumors that may have reached his ears. Like I said, the agents should start their focus at that country club where she liked to hang out.
The irony of all this is multi-faceted:
Even though he wasn’t in the wild sexed-drugged-boozed out crowd, he is the one facing accusations.
Many of the people whining the loudest today about a possible grope are likely utilizing phone -apps like Tinder and having random hook-up sex with strangers across town on a regular basis.
While he never touched her or kissed her, even if he had, he broke no laws, state or federal.
Question of the day. Which senators of the SJC have had personal claims for inappropriate sexual behavior or harassment paid out from the special congressional fund for settlement?.... Enquiring minds wish to know!
Well Kavanough has said he’d do anything they required of him by the committee. Also that he wasn’t going to let any of this deter him or that he’d give up. It’s now far more than just his confirmation to Kavanough so there’s no telling at this juncture what he might do and I’m not sure he could do anything but refuse to be interviewed.....he may do that rather than subject himself to this nonsense of the lines of women likely eager to accuse him further.
They want him to fold....he might depending on how far they push. ...and the dems are willing to get blood in the water if it takes that I believe.

Likewise :-)

Well the FBI ‘could’ respond that way however I have no reason to believe they would since they are clearly corrupt and still have BO and Hillary people in place within the FBI. Also the FBI could get warrants to go thru Kavenoughs house, office etc. Would he subject his family to such? Under these circumstances I wouldn’t!
Flake decided not to run again in AZ because his favor-ability in the state was something like 17%
He is very bitter about it and blames Trump, not himself.
I only got away because I am very athletic and the phone rang giving me time to leave. Legs were nearly paralyzed.
I was angry on several fronts.- Accepting an invite from a a creep, just to go to a party.. Leaving campus. Going with girls from another building I barely knew and them leaving me. Angry that I did not leave a bad party asap. Mad at my legs and inability to speak. Angry to risk walking through the ghetto. Mad for being stupid and feeling I like I deserved to be punished for being so stupid.
And yes, it could have been deadly and I’d be dumped in a dumpster some place. But I did learn, real fast.
I stayed on campus unless with a group of well known friends and became the DD most of the time. I dated only undergrads or known med or law school students, never trusting any man met off campus. And most importantly, I am very careful about what I drink.
Wow, what a story. It gave me chills. Such a terrible experience for you, just awful. I’m glad you somehow kept your wits about you and escaped from whatever hell that monster had planned for you.
If I was young and out and about again, I would drink only bottled beer and wine coolers, and I wouldn’t let it out of my sight.
Thanks for taking the time to share your nightmare. God bless.
No implications related to Kav. many women can read the eyes of sexual predatory types, like clinton & cosby. Kav is absolutely not one. He never was and never will be, it’s not in his genes or upbringing or lifestyle.
Factory sealed containers are best.- Yes. Beer is best and the bottle opening is quite small.

“There will be no such hearing.”
I know. That was wishful thinking about the televised part. The rest stands. While they are opening up an FBI investigation it should also include investigating the leak that exposed this whole thing ‘against Ford’s wishes’. They should be able to question Finstein and her staff and that newspaper or what ever it was that broke the story. I want to make sure there was no Russian collusion involved in this.
I have to toss this out....was anyone else disturbed by Graham’s diatribe today mentioning, among other things, his failed run for president? And, after flake lived up to his name, lauded him for his courage of his convictions??
Did linda play us? Was his fire and brimstone speech yesterday merely an act?
I would appreciate your comments and opinions.
I was young back then. Now decades later, twice I have heard of similar stories from grown women meeting men dining out for first dates, both in upscale environments. They are in their 40’s or 50’s, not kids.
Two different states and their circumstances sound about the same, both got away due to interventions of friends or family.
That was a horribly close call.
Something is just not right about her not being able to remember where this house is and whose house it was.
Maybe they should use the same technique on Mrs. Ford as they used on Manafort.
I commented on that in post #560. No takers. It does feel like Graham played us. He looked positively jubilant after Flake announced he was holding his vote hostage. What happened to that warning he gave to repubs not to fall for the sham? I don’t get it.
