Kav was already cleared by numerous FBI investigations. But the politicized FBI will provide just the right words for the Dems to use to claim he is unfit. Republicans lose again, like they always do.
As an aside, the witenesses have already provided statements under penalty of perjury. If they contradict themselves now they would be inviting felony charges. Unlikely they will change their stories but the FBI will change them for them.

Unclutch the pearls. What would you have him do? The Senate has demanded it, to hold off would not be helpful for Judge Kavanaugh.
There will be nothing discovered, it’s just a rehash of interviews of people already on record as having denied any knowledge. They would be opening themselves to a perjury trap to recant previous statements of record.
Then some other accuser will come out of the woodwork and the Dems will drag it on and on.

Just my opinion, fwiw, but that’s a temper tantrum worthy of a rabid Antifa member. We are winning overall. That is the very reason that the left has pulled out ALL the stops. The Supreme Court would be the longest lasting, most difficult to change management for the President.

Another week of threats and intimidation for his besieged family. I feel terribly sorry for them. This is a national disgrace. Gutter politics.
Think about it....the FBI investigating year books, high school gossip, sexual habits, and youngsters barfing. That’s what this process has sunk to.
An attorney for Kavanaugh accuser Christine Ford, Debra S. Katz, said in a statement on Friday that Ford “welcomes this step in the process.” But Katz took issue with the one-week limit, saying no “artificial limits as to time or scope should be imposed on this investigation.”
When asked if they could get the investigation done in a week, a senior FBI official told Fox News, “That depends on the schedules of everyone we’d have to interview, including the accuser, accused and witnesses.”
The FBI is not our friend. It is controlled by the Deep State trying to depose Trump.
GOP always beholden to the weakest links in the chain. It’s up to rank-and-file voters who vote in primaries to get rid of the weak links once and for all.

He seems oddly reluctant to fire people who are destroying his own executive branch. Just saying.
The FBI will find nothing and Trump knows it.
The Dems and their supporters want an FBI probe? Well, they're getting one.
And when Kavanaugh comes up clean they will STILL be screaming for his head on a platter. But with NOTHING then to take him down with.
Some senators on the fence might well be compelled to confirm Kavanaugh but the big bonus is that more than they possibly anticipated the Dems are showing their true colors as never before. And it is REPULSIVE to decent thinking people.
The Democrats are digging themselves into a deep hole.
