Twenty-three years ago I crossed swords with a younger Brett Kavanaugh in one of the weirdest and most disturbing episodes of my career as a journalist.
What happened leaves me in no doubt that he lacks judicial character and is unfit to serve on the US Supreme Court for the next thirty years or more, whatever his political ideology.

He must have told Ambrose exactly what the rest of us thought of him.
When I was that she was a journalist, lost all belief in her intellect, her morals, and her ability to tell the truth. No need to continue.
An apt description of every other allegation in this mess.
Demonrats and Socialists never, never give up, do they? They sure are outing themselves.
A “man” with a feminine first name and hyphenated last name. Uh-huh.
wow... some of us old timers on FR followed the Vince Foster case very closely. I’m very well aware of Patrick Knowlton and the governments efforts to silence him.
I don’t know what to make of this, I suppose Kavanaugh is as deep state as the rest of them, not really surprising as he’s a Bush nominee.
This current mess is politics, pure and simple.
humdrum Cum Laude?
Like one of those clickbait ads that goes on and on for a half hour about how this method will cure this or that only to end up saying to buy this book to find out after wasting 30 minutes of your life.
It was 100% innuendo and slander with not even a hint of eveidence to support the claims
Ping!
I dont care about his high school exploits. I dont care about anyones high school exploits once they are over 25. Not character defining, necessarily.
But he protected the Clintons from a deserved murder investigation. And it helped his career to do so. And the Clintons found murder to continue to be a convenient problem solver for decades to come. I cant reconcile that fact with his lifetime appt to the SC. But I guess most conservatives can.
Could anyone read the article? It was hard to follow.
I have read many articles by Ambrose over the years and he was always interesting. The Foster case has never been dealt with fairly or factually and probably never will be. So who knows what Kavanaugh knew or didn’t know.
It was KAVANAUGH who went hostile on poor Knowlton, accusing him shockingly of being in Ft. Marcy for a gay tryst, out of the blue. Knowltons testimony proved Foster did not drive to the park.
I read it though I regret wasting my time. It’s a Vince Foster conspiracy theory but really with nothing about Kavenaugh. A witness told this reporter he was abused by K in a grand jury appearance, but of course the grand jury proceeding is secret the reporter has no direct knowledge.
I gave up on it.
The Deep State has much to keep lying about.
I read all of it. The gist of it being that Knowlton’s testimony was altered by the FBI and Starr along with Kavanaugh did not want to go there and present a murder case.
Kavanaugh is connected to the Deep State & Bushes. He’s also a constitutionalist and whom President Trump nominated, and I support his confirmation.
I do believe Foster was murdered.
You are/were so wise! /S heavy
