He’s shedding the Linda thing.
McCain leaving made a difference.

I’m halfway convinced McCain had something on Graham. I wouldn’t put it past the nasty old bastard and maybe what seemed to be genuine friendship was a matter of keeping your friends close and your enemies closer. Never will know probably but the abrupt change in Graham post-McTurd has been remarkable.

i think you need to add Grassley in as well. They all started off shakey but rose to the challenge.

Let’s all jump up and down and clap because republicans actually did their job for once. This is how low the bar is.

“Mitch McConnell, ran the Senate like we all hoped a majority leader would “

Stumbling into a win by trying to lose? Yeah, he’s done a bang up job

I’ll wait for the vote. If it was anything like the Obolacare repeal, we should see Flake giving a middle finger and a thumbs down ala John McStain.

I wasn't worried about Grassley.

I've been watching him for years.

I mentioned in a couple of threads last week, when Grassley was catching a load of chit over the extensions, that he has made a career out of being underestimated and misjudged.

I think he works at it.

The far-left, socialist Democratic Party has discipline and a will to win at all costs. If we are not to lose our freedoms we need to demand and expect that in crucial votes that the GOP has the same discipline or we will continue to lose ground like we have for the past 100 years. Cowboy up McConnel or GTFO.

Any Republican senator that votes no for Kavanaugh needs to be kicked off of every single one of their committees. To hell with them.

No fan of Collins, but that was a fantastic speech. Never thought she had it in her to lay out this case in such a logical & precise manner.

I think it will make a lot more difference over time too.

I suspect we haven’t heard the end of the negative antics of McCain yet.

The worst possible outcome would have been to have Kavanaugh withdraw. It would have told the Democrats that the Republicans would never fight for anything.

The much less worse outcome would have been for Kavanaugh to go down swinging.

Now it looks like Kavanaugh will get in.

The only thing left is for Trump and the Pubs to hammer home how perfidious the Dems were in this whole debacle between now and election day.

Right, that’s what happened - he was trying to lose by handling this masterfully just as he did with blocking Garland and getting Gorsuch - and going nuclear then - had he not roped the Dems into falling into that trap then, it would not have worked to do it now. He got the Dems to shoot themselves in the foot back then so they could get shot in the foot again now. Shows just what a terrible tactician he is / sarcasm
