Trump made very astute comments during the campaign. He laid out some plans to improve inner-city living quality and prosperity, construction and more.
He has made some good moves in office, listening to community and even giving clemency to some people given abusive sentences for their singular crime.
He will meet Kanye West today.
IMO he needs to step this up and deliver on some bigger ideas, and if he can come through he can strip that 10% or more of the Black vote. All he has to do is deliver on promises that Democrats always make and fail to deliver.
As a non-Black, so with a grain of salt, I’d love to see him make a push for school vouchers. This is a big one in the black community but not an easy one for the Federal government to force. But allocating cash to districts that open up vouchers is one thing they can do.
Perhaps more than anything, would be for him to take his tour into some of the hardest hit areas. He will take organized fire from the entrenched interests but it would be a coup if he could take the energy and turn it into more of a “love fest” Go to Gary Indiana and invite his white supporters to show up as well and show the love. He can make an effort to heal the divisions while also explaining how politics works - he told them “what do you have to lose” in 2016. In 2018 and 2020 he needs to show them what they have to gain. They lose because they are supporting the party out of power. If they can cross over just a bit they will have a real voice.
15%-20% of blacks moving to the GOP would punch way above their weight they would have enormous political power. They are simply not being told why and how it works to their advantage to put their votes in play.
Yes, if you see 90+ turnout, you can pretty much guarantee voter fraud.

That percentage does not refer to the portion of all blacks voting for the democrats. Rather it refers to percentage of those blacks who actually voted and cast their ballots for the donkeys, which usually hovers around 90%. Hillary lost in part because she only got 88% of the black vote. Obama carried 93%.
I think he meant to say “90% of their votes”. They would gain so much power political power if they put their votes in play. As much as I hate the racial politics, think of the Jewish vote. The other James Baker said “F the Jews they don’t vote for us anyway” and not saying it is the only reason but GHWB lost re-election shortly after.
Hillary in New York Senate race made all kinds of deals with some Hassidic sects - even though she had the seat pretty locked up (kind of shows where she screwed up in 2016, she had hubris, she did not work the communities). One community voted something like 99% for her. It all adds up.

Trump is really trolling those sonsabiches in the Dem party big time. They fall right into his traps. He says “I’m meaning with Kanye” and right away they resort to their racist knee jerk bullcrap.
There was a time I had some respect from Democrats. I was raised in a home and family that is almost completely Dem. And many of the classic Liberal and even some of their liberal ideas were worthy of consideration. There are problems in the justice system (which I would be remiss to say is almost entirely the fault of Democrats who run the big cities and their bad policies from policing to justice community development to education).
Credit to Trump for giving these Dem fools the rope to show their true color... black, yes, black in the hearts and souls. It will take major courage for any righteous Democrats to step back and speak out about the insanity they foster.

When I was younger, the people we now call libertarians (adherents to basic principles of individual liberty) were primarily in the Democrat Party; Barry Goldwater was one of the very few - if not the only - libertarian in the Republican Party. Obviously, that’s no longer the case.
