The photographer should burn his blue dress when finished.

That’s a nice picture of the “leader” sitting in the corner in a folding chair while wearing his play clothes.

“But this other guy…” I said, glancing out the window to where the new president had watched us depart, “is not capable of that [asking thoughtful questions, listening to advice, making tough decisions on important issues.]”

Liar - you just don’t like Trump’s questions, the advice he heeds, or the tough decisions he makes. Whereas Obama could do no wrong in your eyes.

I suppose you must be a capable photographer - you should stick to photography - and thank God that President Trump is willing to overlook your stupidity and let you remain at the White House.

“Know your enemy.”

That’s the old tired excuse we always hear for why some FReepers insist on promoting the enemy’s propaganda for them - but it makes no sense.

This logic reminds me of the silly idea that we parents ought to stay abreast of hard core pornography, in order to be aware of what our kids might be exposed to. Nice try perverts.

Posting this Leftist garbage is no different.

This is self-evident whining, but one phrase might escape the notice of the ways of the deep state:

He shuns preparation for meetings with foreign heads of state.

No real negotiator intent on using the power and prestige of the Presidency would bother wasting hundreds of hours of his time being set up by the deep state state department regional desks, protocol officers and associated foreign situation briefing sausage makers.

What they specialize in is arguing how nuanced the current situation is, and what we want to do is renegotiate clause 17.3.1.4 (A)(1)(b)(i) sub-bullet three, to up the percentage of import offsets from 13.375% to 14.215% with all the attendant economic analyses to show that that is the right number.

Of course the whole thing ought to be torn up, thrown away and an equitable deal reached, which is what Trump as done. But Trump starts from, ok, lets presume we have total free trade and what would that look like, and oh, here are the sanctions and tariffs I am putting in place right now if you don't want to negotiate.

And along with tearing up the agreement we need to tear up the offices and careers of the deepster "so-called" diplomats (boring plodding bureaucrats) who in any way defend the status quo.

Does Trump prepare for meetings: you bet. He has been preparing all of his life. Read the Art of the Deal. But I suspect he works out the issues he wants to talk about with Pompeo and Kelly and Bolton without a lot of useless State Deparment weenies to waste everyone's time - oh and leak what they disagree with.

Because that is the other thing that the deepster #resistance does. It leaks.

Its a form of reading the enemy’s playbook. We keep informed by what the left has come up with today. And then we can counter it. It would be counter productive if we were limited to posting only articles we agree with. We would turn into a right wing version of democratic underground or daily kos where only a certain type of group think is allowed. Ignorance results from insulating oneself from other points of view.

No way Trump gives up the power seat like that.

“Its a form of reading the enemy’s playbook. We keep informed by what the left has come up with today. And then we can counter it.”

I’ve heard that rationale here a thousand times.

But that assumes we are getting ahold of the enemy’s strategic plans that alert us of some ambush that we can avoid, or secret weapons that we can take steps to counter.

That us NOT the case here. What we are getting is nonsensical lies and irrational garbage that we’ve already heard and is of zero strategic value.

It is exactly like having a moron insist that 2 plus 2 is 5. All that tells you is that morons can’t do math (which we already knew).

Specifically, the article we are both wasting our time discussing here on FR, is by an Obama admirer who is lamenting the fact that unlike his hero Obama, President Trump is completely incapable of thoughtfully considering ideas, listening to advice, and making cogent decisions.

First of all, we already know that leftists think Obama was the best POTUS ever and that Trump is the worst ever. So, please tell me how it benifits us to give this leftist a platform here on FR from which to preach his bias, which we already knew about?

Look, we don’t have to listen to repetitive garbage and talking points in order to prove we are open minded. Being open minded means we have to be willing to consider opposing ideas - and accept criticism of our ideas - but they need to be serious ideas, and serious criticisms, not repetitive and nonsensical talking points. The opposing ideas and criticisms need to be supported by some actual reasoning and substantiation.

I don’t see any ideas being suggested in this piece at all - all I see is Trump being insulted with absolutely nothing to back it up.
