They knew harrassing a 9/11 widow was not the kind of “self enhancement” they wanted to be known for.
Not to take away from the fact that this guy is a supreme d!@k but it appears that the lady he harassed may have confabulated the story about being a 9/11 widow.
Of course, we couldn’t have know that at the time, and it doesn’t excuse his behavior.
But she didn’t need to make that up...if she did. It’s exploitive of the grief of real 9/11 widows and makes us look bad.
