Do you have a Trader Joe's near you? Their style may seem counterculture, and they were probably founded by hippies--but they're all about selling stuff, and have lots of well-treated conservative customers. Their soups, like about everything they sell, cost 25 to 50 percent less than our nearby supermarkets' stuff, and taste MUCH better.
