I am hearing reports that various Jewish leaders will not welcome him unless he takes responsibility for his rhetoric.

This is what presidents do! The group of 12 is a far left wing Jewish Consortium and does not represent the Jewish population of the Greater Pittsburgh area! I’m going to an Interfaith vigil tonight at a reformed synagogue. I am a Messianic Jew and a retired pastor. There will be Christians Jews and other believers having a vigil for the dead in Pittsburgh

Many of our ancestors escaped from the Russian progroms of the nineteenth century because the czars hated Jews and wouldn’t lift a finger to help them, let alone care enough about them to comfort their families in mourning.

Donald Trump is the exact opposite of this. If many American Jews aren’t grateful, it’s a shame.

I for one wish he wouldn’t. Not for any political reason or false claims he fanned the flames. But because the synagogue members and the whole area is still in a state of deep mourning. Having Trump there will unfortunately create a disturbance no matter how well his intentions are. They should be allowed to grieve privately without worry about media intrusion because of Trump’s visit. If anything the President should arrange to meet privately with a group from the synagogue at their convenience and behest.

This could easily be perceived as politicizing a horrific event. Still, it’s “damned if you” do and “damned if you don’t” given today’s political milieu.

NBC is reporting that anti-Semitism is on the rise, but no mention of Farrakhan or Obama or Hillary.
