They are saying there are 32 or 34 minutes of actual broadcast time in an hour. It sure seemed to me like there are more and more commercial breaks being inserted into these programs. Which makes them hard to listen to with so many breaks, in my opinion.

Yes. Endless commercials which is why I never listen to the radio and seldom watch these shows on the tv.

I watched Fox and Friends a little bit before the election.
Three minutes of the show then five minutes of the same commercials. Repeat for an hour.

Yes, way too many commercials. And they can do away with authors hawking their books. At this point in my life, and with unlimited information on the net, there is little in a new book can interest me.

Speaking of too many ads, I observed something interesting a few weeks ago. I was watching some old Twilight Zones on Amazon Prime. Each episode was 26 mins long, which means there was only 4 mins of ad time allotted per a 30 min show. The same observation held for other older shows I'm watching.
