Ohio Governor John Kasich said Tuesday that we’re in danger of seeing our moral standing in the world eroded, thanks in part to the news that the U.S. would move forward with an arms deal with Saudi Arabia.
“I just want to tell you that we're in danger of seeing our moral standing in the world eroded,” said Kasich during an interview Tuesday.
“I happened to meet a tremendous prisoner of conscience a man by the name of Anatoly Sharansky who sat in the Soviet gulag for many years and was defiant about his seeking freedom and not caving to the Soviets. The one thing that kept him alive in that prison and gave him hope was the United States of America. The torch that Lady Liberty holds. And we read about these prisoners of conscience in places like China. People have been put in these solitary prisons and they lose their lives in the hope that they have the hope for humanity. Is the United States of America and we say it's all about some economic transaction. I tell you Aaron the world scratches his head and wonders what is becoming of America. And this is this is really really serious stuff. The hopes and dreams of people who've had the guts and the courage to stand up against tyranny,” said Kasich.

Maybe it’s good that the little weasel pops up now and then. He serves as a cautionary tale to those who foolishly believe they can out-Trump Trump.

I had high hopes for him once.

America has its own problems. We feel like we’re abused. Trump wants to bring some balance to that picture.
For fhat he’s attacked. I can see for Kasich America isn’t good enough for him. Therein lies the problem.
America’s elite is so concerned with the world that its forgotten about America.
We wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in if they paid attention to our country first. Let’s take care of it before we start worrying about the rest of the world.
Kasich of all people is pontificating about moral standing?
Kasick wears his moral superiority on his sleeve, flaunting it proudly.

When I think of other countries see us, its like a piggy bank and what have we gotten for all that generosity?
I guess Kasich thinks we should give and not receive because you know the world will raise a fuss if we insist on fair treatment.
I don’t give a damn if the globalists like it or not. Nationalism isn’t a terrible thing; its a good thing.
We’re simply doing what other countries have been doing for a long time: pursuing their own interests and we don’t need to feel guilty for pursuing ours.
Its about time.
