Never say never....ICYMI, these coup co-conspirators are not following too many laws or DOJ guidelines. It’s how Mueller was appointed in the first place.

It’s long standing DOJ policy that you cannot indict a siting POTUS. It would be pandemonium if you could, injecting the legal system into the political sphere. If this were allowable every POTUS would be facing indictments as threats to their power.
Of course they can break the rules they make. But it’s just a very bad idea. We have Impeachment in the Constitution that is how you deal with these things. And that leaves open the question, do crimes before office even count? The House will say yes. I say no.
It’s how Mueller was appointed in the first place.
1. Get Trump impeached and removed from Office
2. Failing that, find enough about him to make him a one term President (clearing the field for another GOPe candidate, like Ryan, in 2020).
3. Constrain Trump’s Agenda and put him in a box
A lot of this is payback for Trump’s humiliating defeat of Jeb! for the nomination. Ever wonder why the GOPe keeps saying “Let Mueller do his job?” Because they share those goals. And they will try to force Trump not to run in 2020 (so they can nominate Ryan or Pence instead).
That is one party I'll be attending even if I have to crash it. Be a shame to waste all that ammo and time at the reloading bench.
