They are worse than the worst ideologue SJWs in the USA.

South Africa’s land is not particularly rich. That’s why many centuries ago, it only supported dispersed, nomadic tribes. It is quite dry, so large investments in irrigation and equipment must be made. Therefore, farms are large, as the land is mostly useless otherwise.

The first victim will be South Africa’s own banking system, as a lot of money is loaned to agriculture, which now won’t be repaid. Then the Rand will collapse. Then imports will begin to dry up, just as domestic food supplies drop.

You heard it here first.

There will be Rat demands to intervene! Not to save the Boer but to assist the SA government in the round up. (Genocide will come later when we’re discretely gone!) If there is a Rat administration post-Trump count on it!

Any investment gurus out there have ideas of how to “short” the South African economy?
*********
Maybe buy Platinum mines outside of SA ,, PGE (group ten metals) ... The SA mines will operate while the people starve so it may take a while.

Much of the business and industrial infrastructure is owned by non black SA citizens. They are now in jeopardy as well. If not next year then soon. There will be a further flight of people and capital from SA.

Having spent a fair amount of time in South Africa...and having closely studied what happened in Zimbabwe...I'd bet the clothes on my back that South Africa, featuring far more wealth than Zimbabwe ever dreamed of,can most definitely go the same way.But if it does it's not likely to happen overnight.

"Guess they hadn’t heard of the Boers."

"Kill the Boer" is the EFF's most famous motto - commonly sung at their rallies over the years.

A classic Facebook post.

Thing was that Johannesburg was started as a stopover point for Dutch ships way back in the Sixteen hundreds. Nobody was there, the Dutch built a small community and when the tribes way out in the outback heard of it they came to get jobs. The rest is history.

Like Zimbabwe, the Chinese communists will have their pick of the carcass, while the common people will be reduced to desperation.

Q: What did they use for light at night in Zimbabwe, before they had candles?

A: Electricity.

And this is why the Founding Fathers added the 2nd amendment to the US Constitution. Of course, what is happening now in France is another reason why this amendment was written.

You mean Capetown.
Johannesburg is very deep inland, and founded much later, during the 1880’s gold rush.

Yes, Capetown but it’s still SA and they want all of it. Thanks for the correction.

If they confiscate diamond mines, blow them up and turn out the lights.

Mitch McConnell pushed for policies that led to this in his first year in the Senate, 1985.

I guess one of the problems with simply shorting the rand is timing. S.A.’s anti-white, anti-private property policies will bring economic disaster upon the country. That’s automatic and axiomatic, but the question is when? The country IS looking at a total meltdown, but in 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, etc.? Hard to say. The problem with a simple currency short-sale is that you sort of have to time it right. I guess i’m looking more for investment ideas predicated on S.A.’s collapse but are less dependent on it happening in the very near term.
