USA Today is trash. They used to magnify their circulation figures by giving morning papers to the hotels to put in front of your room door. I guess enough folks like me complained that they didn’t want to stoop down to pick this unreadable rag up so they stopped it.
Just got back from a 3 day hotel stay. Threw 3 days of their newspaper into the trash. No idea how they convince a hotel chain to pay.
I call it "Useless hay for pay'
Ever since my local rags became part of their spiderweb they have all but ceased writing stories and cluttered their web sites with photo galleries of proms and homecomings.
No thumbnail index, of course, so you have to click-click-click...but each click means more ad $$$.
I don't want to look at pictures and videos, DAMMIT!
I WANT TO READ!
I always make sure to kick it well into the hall, in several sections, so the hotel staff has to pick it up. I figure if the staff complains, the management will stop carrying it.
