More than 6,000 mailed ballots in Florida went uncounted in November's midterm elections, according to a report by the Associated Press.
Officials at the Florida Department of State informed a federal judge last week that 6,670 ballots that were mailed in ahead of the November 6 midterm election were left uncounted because they arrived after Election Day.
Ballots mailed inside the U.S. must reach election offices by 7 p.m. on Election Day under current Florida law. It is not yet clear why the ballots did not make it to the election offices on time.
According to The Associated Press, the missing ballots came from 65 of Florida's 67 counties.

If those are local mail-in ballots, yes. Overseas ballots are a different story.
Would that even be a valid order? In the context of an election, Trump is the employee and the soldiers are the boss - they as citizens give orders to the government (by voting), not vice versa.
As I read it, they arrived at those counties, they were sent in from all over the country.
So what happened was that most of these people probably mailed them late, not allowing time for them to arrive by the shutoff date. Do that with your bills, you pay a penalty. Do that with your insurance, your insurance lapses, and etc..
What FAMILYOP says here is accurate. My wife went to California and got her drivers license renewed, and she can legally vote absentee in California. I am registered in 3 States. Not hard at all for Postal Workers to grab these absentee ballots in the mail and use them for mischievous purposes.

Most people in the Military are registered in their home state and vote in their home state. How do you propose they get there? Ask for a few days off to travel across the country?

There is some public confusion about when mail ballots are due. There is a persistent but wrong belief that, like income tax returns being considered timely if postmarked by April 15, mailed ballots will be counted if they have a postmark by election day. Moreover, late military ballots are often counted under special federal rules.

Personally, I don’t think any ballot submitted BEFORE or AFTER election day should be counted. If you want to vote, get your ass out of the fart sack on election day, go down to the polls and vote. Otherwise, forget about it. The majority of voting that goes on before or after election day is fraudulent anyway. IMHO.
This election, I didn't receive my absentee ballot.
Last Presidential election, my ballot was rejected because "the signature didn't match".
