There isn't really any Republican right now who scores high enough in charismatic speaking - and it will be a critically important quality to counter the "Free college/free health care/free love...in exchange for all the rest of your freedoms!" message the Democrats will be pounding out in 2020.
A President Rand Paul would be our very last chance at getting the federal deficit under control. Trump doesn’t seem to be too interested in that.
