A clerk at an Edison gas station convenience store was shot to death during a robbery early Thursday, authorities said.
Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey told NBC New York during an interview in front of the Speedway on Amboy Avenue that his office was investigating the incident as a robbery-homicide.
The shooter fled after gunning down the worker around 4 a.m.

There are plenty of 24 hour places, they don’t all get murdered.

Having worked graveyard at 7-11, these murders really piss me off. Especially when none of the victims were allowed to protect themselves, and none of the murdering thieves ever get swift, true justice.
New Jersey is a VERY VIOLENT state.
Shooter must have been a cop, they are the only ones allowed to carry in Jersey.
But who knows which will and which stores won't? It's a roll of the dice, isn't it?

In Jersey you can’t pump your own gas so attendants carry wads of cash while pumping your gas. Sad story for someone just trying to make a living.

Its very common for these guys to carry outlaw in the more crime ridden areas. That Asian guy with the bodega in Newark, he has a shotgun under that counter, its ready, he will pull the mothereffer out and blow the head off the piece of crap that tries to pull one on him. They don’t mess around.
Edison/Woodbridge is actually not a bad area, it isn’t Rumson, but it certainly isn’t Camden or Newark. The store clerk probably thought he didn’t need one.
