Indeed, and in contrast to the detached manner of having the state execute one guilty of a Biblical capital offense , instead, as the crime/sin was directly or indirectly against the corporate body, so was the execution a community action. Which better served to impact the community as to the gravity of the sin, as well as judging one as guilty.
