I think he has gotten legal advice to proceed exactly as he has. He is building the political and legal foundation to justify the next step. Brilliant, imo.
Trump went on TV and pleaded with the democrats and the dumbocrats. Schumer and Pelosi said no to him so now he is able to do it as an emergency, with public proof that the dumbocrats aren’t for our safety and financial security.
He played this nicely, IMHO.
I agree. Everytime Nancy and Chuck say they won’t vote for wall funding, Trump can present that as evidence for the Supereme Court that a national emergency declaration is needed to deal with this crisis. Democrats tried to use the Presidents tweets to strike down the third travel ban but aren’t smart enough to understand that their own words could be used against them before the Supreme Court.
