How many people were unemployed during Obozo’s pResidency?
How many didn’t get paychecks for years?
If they want a REAL job they could probably find one. Problem is, most are not qualified or just plain lazy.
That is the truth!
Been there, done that and have been on both sides of the fence.
Good feeling when you can help someone out.
Millions of people have been through this over the years...and had nothing to do with a shutdown.
They ARE getting paid.
They will get paid for their work when this is settled.
They are not working for free.
0 pay go to unemployment and see if you qualify...
Guess what they more than likely going to take into account that you are getting paid as if you are vacation but didn’t get the money but will retroactively.....
Sob to someone else as the average american doesn’t have this “ golden safety valve”
2) The workers most likely belong to a Credit Union. They can get a low interest signature loan from their Credit Union and pay it back when the shutdown ends and the workers receive their back pay.
There, wasn't that easy?
No whut?
They can go find another job if this one ain’t feedin’em.
0 sympathy.
All told, an estimated 800,000 government workers missed their paychecks for the first time since the shutdown began.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Those 800,000 need to call Nancy and tell her to get on with it.
They can’t blame President Trump. Until they send him a bill to sign there is nothing he can do about it.
They made it loud and clear that open borders and illegal aliens was worth more to the political elite than Americans in flyover country.
Now, let them also make that same thing clear to Federal Workers.
That’s almost 1000x what most of them are worth.
So it is Fake News to say they didnt get paychecks!! They got paychecks, there was just nothing in them.
They ought to frame them to remind themselves how much they’re worth.
Amen to that! My husband worked at Dow Chemical Co until he retired, Chemical Engineer. He was a great engineer, smart, conscientious, hard worker... He worked there until he retired, we were truly blessed. But whenever the corporation wanted to get rid of people they would have a massive lay off. It was one day you were working, the next day you were unemployed. You found a different job asap.
My dad was a cigar salesman when people were cutting back at smoking tobacco. Several times he got to work and found out there was no job. CLOSED sign on door. Usually no severance pay. Just no job. He had a wife and three kids.
No one cared, no one showed concern. It was just life. And he worked HARD!
I worked at a glass plant summers while going to Okla State U. The first summer was full time, all the hours I wanted and more. Summers 2 and 3 weren’t as steady. Many lay offs. I had to save up money for college. So I went to JC Penney and got a job while laid off from Libery Glass.
No one cared, no concern. You just went out and found a new job.
These weren’t cushy government overpaid jobs. It was the Real World.
Our "betters" in the DC swamp earning an average of $120K (VA/MD/DC) who tell us (command us) how to live our lives are living paycheck-to-paycheck?
Let them go get real jobs
What shutdown?
Well, federal employees, brush off your cameras and colored pencils and find your joy!
