Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez went after conservative teenager CJ Pearson on Tuesday, saying that he should “learn her name” and that he’s “right to be afraid of us” — referring to herself and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. During the State of the Union address, Pearson, a 16-year-old political commentator, noted on Twitter that Ocasio-Cortez was talking through President Donald Trump’s “entire speech and the woman next to her keeps trying to look the other way.”

To: milagro; a little elbow grease

We had a Freeper who coined the phrase, and for the life of me, I can’t remember exactly who it was...it may have been a little elbow grease, but...whoever thought of it was spot on.

I wish I had thought of it.

Interestingly, I have heard the nickname applied by a few well known conservative pundits including Dan Bongino and possibly Mark Levin...but it originated here on FR I am pretty certain.

Folks, it is time for pitchforks and torches. Frankly, I will not accept this kind of treatment from elected officials.

Well, no one is stopping you from leading the way with said pitchforks and torches. Show us exactly how it's done.

Of course you'll accept it. Unless you're out there in the streets leading the way, it's mere talk.

It was a complete prop. She was using it to publicly show how disinterested she was, that old bag of crap hag.

If I lead, will you follow? I didn’t think so. It will take someone more charismatic than me to start it, but I am willing to join in when it happens. They completely ignored 1MM TEA Partyers on the Mall who were nice about it, so what’s next?

I agree, I was thinking of exactly that while I wrote it. I just was in too much of a hurry to think of a word or phrase to get around it.

Fear does sound like it invites a flight response or a feeling of helplessness, but as I thought about it, courage isn’t doing something you are comfortable with or have no fear of, courage most often involves doing something you fear, but doing it nonetheless because you have to.

We will need both courage and persistence. And we should definitely keep in mind that when people like HER say she should be feared, she means it in a specific way that should cause us to regard her as a domestic enemy of this Republic.

“I don’t think that the Founding Fathers envisioned people degenerating to this point, both Congresspeople and the citizens who vote for them.”

I think they would be surprised if we had not. They weren’t fools about man, they KNEW how rotten he tends.

“saying that her and Ocasio-Cortez “are the future of the country.”

So says the 65-year-old Velazquez to the 17-year-old Pearson.

ABSOLUTELY! It is a confession of the tyranny to come. But it will be resisted.

And why shouldn’t they?

Have you heard BOO from *anyone* in the (R)N(C)\’leadership’??

Hell, not even a half-ass’d ‘ethics’ complaint (where they, SURPRISE, find *NOTHING* wrong)
>>

EXACTLY. Not to shift blame, but it WOULD be kinda nice if those ball-less wonders who pretend to be on OUR side would actually DO something to put these little Hitlers in their place.
>

“Our” side, kemosabe?

Again, why SHOULD they? The ball-less wonders IN the (R) electorate repeatedly vote ‘em back into office (”Lesser of two”, “devil you know”, “throw away your vote” or some other asinine logic\reason).

You’re correct.

Guilty as charged.

I voted for John McCain.
I voted for Mitt Romney.
I voted for George Bush.
I voted for his idiot son.

I regret each and every one of them and will NEVER vote for the “better of two bad candidates” again. If a candidate isn’t 100% on board - and I mean REALLY on board, not just lying and SAYING they’re on board - with President Trump’s agenda, I will NOT pull that lever (well, okay... push that touchscreen button) for them.

Thing is, I don’t think ANY of the GOP establishment are even vaguely aware how much the Trump people LOATHE them - because if they did, they wouldn’t be fighting him the way they’re doing. Let them placate their open border money masters all they want - it won’t mean SQUAT if we-the-people don’t vote for them.

On the other hand, recall how much chaos two guys in an old beater car, one shot at a time, caused in Maryland and Virginia late in 2002.

Wouldn’t be hard to repeat.

"Urged President Clinton to grant clemency to FALN Puerto Rican terrorists. . .The first Puerto Rican woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, Velazquez became a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. In 1999 she joined fellow Democrat Representatives Luis Gutierrez, Jose Serrano, and Ron Dellums, as well as former New York City Mayor David Dinkins, in exhorting President Bill Clinton and Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder to grant clemency to 16 incarcerated FALN terrorists — Puerto Rican Marxist-Leninists whom Velazquez and her cohorts characterized as 'political prisoners.' When Clinton offered clemency only to those who would agree to renounce the use of violence, Velazquez criticized the president for not making his clemency offer unconditional. . .On multiple occasions, the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) have endorsed Velazquez’s political campaigns. In June 1993 Velazquez sent personal greetings to those attending the DSA’s annual Eugene Debs/Norman Thomas/Michael Harrington dinner banquet, named in honor of three prominent American socialists. . .In October 1995 at Harlem’s Abyssinian Baptist Church, Velazquez attended a standing-room-only gathering to give a hero’s welcome to Cuban dictator Fidel Castro, who was visiting New York. Three years later she supported the Cuban Humanitarian Trade Act, which sought to ease restrictions on U.S. commerce with Cuba.": Nydia Velazquez
