Memo to Republicans who oppose POTUS Trump’s emergency declaration: Shut up
The National Sentinel ^ | 2/16/19 | Jon Dougherty

In a lengthy tweet storm, Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) laid out his case as to why he believes that POTUS Donald Trump’s declaration of a national emergency along the U.S.-Mexico border was not just inappropriate but unconstitutional as well.

He begins:

“A thread on national emergencies and our Constitution:

Congress makes laws. The president executes laws. The Supreme Court decides cases.

This is our constitutional system.

Congress cannot delegate legislative powers to the president by statute.”

Congress passed laws. The President is utilizing those laws. Congress cannot ‘claw back’ laws just because they don’t like what the President is doing.

There is absolutely not one other person in this country who could do a better job than President Trump. Not one!

You either trust our Donald or you bend over and kiss your rear and this country goodbye.
...
That was so well-said, I’d steal it for my tagline but it is too long! Bravo!!!

“Congress cannot delegate legislative powers to the president by statute.”

What a complete ass. The gutless US congress has been giving up its legislative power to the courts and the bureaucracy for 100 years.

The gutless US Congress best start worrying about being hanged from lampposts.

“If they didn’t want to because their constituents didn’t want them to, what’s wrong with with that?”

So if constituents of your congresscriter want you shot dead, you have no problem with that...”

They are paid to oppose: not by our taxes, but by donors’ bribes.

AS one who supported Lying Ted {Cruz} during the primaries, Remember Lying Ted did not support the nomination of P.O.T.U.S. Trump, @ the Republican convention, and I would expect nothing more from him, unless there is something he {Cruz} can gain personally.

I hear you...prior to a few days ago he’s been doing some good PDJT bidding...lately MIA.

I expect after PDJT, he may want the nomination...I don’t think that is a stretch...it behooves him to help PDJT.

Maybe turn over in name, but not in effect. Every office would have permanent ‘staff’ with revolving door of new faces reading the script. Look up the term ‘deep state’ to learn more. It is already happening.
