BBC: "Car manufacturers have said they are concerned about continued uncertainty surrounding the UK's post-Brexit relationship with the EU."

Usual lies from the BBC

?? The only statement to that effect which I can see in the report is a direct quote from the Nissan Europe Chairman, the authenticity of which is not in doubt:

"the continued uncertainty around the UK's future relationship with the EU is not helping companies like ours to plan for the future".

But I see the following in the analysis by the BBC Business Editor which follows the report:

"Brexit issues may be lurking in the background, but Honda's real reasons for closing Swindon are about the future of the global car industry, not Britain's future relationship with Europe."

Plenty of good reasons for criticising the BBC without needing to invent them.

The article linked to now by the thread seems completely different to the original that I read. Perhaps the beeb have re-written it in the interim (they change stuff all the time). They used to put a date-and-time stamp on every version so this was clear but it appears now they only show an original date.
I stand by my comment. No one doubts that the uncertainy around Brexit doesn’t help companies plan for next year, my quote from their original article showed a deliberate effort to make a connection between Brexit and the Honda closure.
