Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (R-Texas) on Tuesday for quoting Benito Mussolini in a tweet.
Ocasio-Cortez criticized the former Senate GOP whip for linking fascism to socialism with the tweet, saying it was part and parcel for a party that she said called paying a living wage "socialism."
"In case you missed it, while the GOP is calling paying a living wage 'socialism,' a Republican Senator full-on quoted National Fascist Party leader and Hitler ally Benito Mussolini like its a Hallmark card," the first-year lawmaker tweeted.
Cornyn on Sunday had tweeted a quotation from the Italian fascist dictator.
We were the first to assert that the more complicated the forms assumed by civilization, the more restricted the freedom of the individual must become.

Yeah.
You can’t have collectivism (i.e. Socialism) and individual rights.
Those are mutually exclusive ideas.
Both Mussolini and Hitler waged war on the communists, not because they were politically opposed to communism, but because they all courted the same voting base. Once in power and elections were no longer needed, they became quite friendly with other communist leaders.
Well, she IS the boss...
___________
Yep......... the bigger the government... generally the less freedom eventually will be available to you and me.
What does social justice mean? It means work guaranteed, fair wages, decent homes; it means the possibility of continuous evolution and improvement. [ ] As the past (19th) century was the century of capitalist power, the 20th century is the century of the power and glory of labor. This would have been a better Mussolini quote to shove in Occasional-Cortexs face. 100 percent Marxist (a.k.a. democratic-socialist) rhetoric.
it’s tough out there in journalism world....
Yup. Dog-eat-dog...

_________
Republican Sen. John Cornyn of Texas apparently wanted to tweet something out against the pitfalls of socialism. Instead, he quoted a line from a fascist dictator, and got called out for it hard on social media including by rising star on the left, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York).
Cornyn on Sunday morning took to the social media platform and tried to assert, through a quote made famous by former Italian fascist leader Benito Mussolini, that the more complicated the forms assumed by civilization, the more restricted the freedom of the individual must become.
It was a line meant to chastise government-run systems of economics, but many questioned why Cornyn felt the need to cite a man who was part of the Axis powers (and thus, an enemy of the United States) during World War II.
He gave a crazy dem who claims that republicans are fascists a chance to point to a tweet where a republican quotes a fascist without explanation. And she took him up on the offer.
When government dictates what you must pay your employees, time you must give new parents time off, what insurance you must provide, who you must sell your product to, who you must give preference in hiring to, and hundreds of pages of regulations you must comply with (enough to not know if you’re compliant), then what exactly are we supposed to call this?
Tyranny.
For those who have the courage and finances to run a business - it may mean going Galt, or going hiring overseas.
We don’t need any further experimentation with socialism. There’s sufficient examples around the globe of its’ failure. Of people suffering. Ms. Cortez would serve NY well by resigning, she’s ill equipped for the job.
I understand perfectly.
“Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (R-Texas) on Tuesday for quoting Benito Mussolini in a tweet.”... is what everyone here is looking at.
Deafening Silence .....
A conservative farting would elicit the same response from the likes of AOC. Screw ‘em.

Not "everyone" .. just YOU are getting all bent out of shape about, only you.
It was poor proofreading by thehill.com., and I was in a hurry to put this little OAC story up, and did not notice the partial sentence that has you all in a twist.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Gods gift to conservatives, is at it again. The Valley Girl socialist says, like, it may not be OK to have children, because, like, the planet is doomed:
Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) suggested on Sunday night that people should consider not having children due to climate change because there is a scientific consensus that life will be hard for kids.
Our planet is going to hit disaster if we dont turn this ship around and so its basically like, theres a scientific consensus that the lives of children are going to be very difficult, Ocasio-Cortez said while chopping up food in her kitchen during an Instagram live video. And it does lead, I think, young people to have a legitimate question, you know, Is it okay to still have children?’
She raises a great question. ———
YEP, “this woman is a damn idiot”.
Take off every zig.
What does that mean?
